How it works

Cost: Em will be opening a new location in San Diego, CA in October '24. While establishing her new location and clientele, initial cut ins will be a discounted price of $1,400.

What does that include? Everything! The toupee, customizations, application, cut, one touch-up appointment if needed, and one reapplication appointment for locals. Clients will also be given a take home bag and toupee aftercare instructions.

Everything happens on the same day! No need to come in beforehand. We color match, customize and perfect your toupee with you in the chair!

Reapplication Appointment: This includes removing the toupee, cleaning the toupee and the scalp, getting a haircut, and having the toupee reapplied.

Frequency: To keep hair looking amazing, clients need to maintain a reapplication schedule of at least every 4 weeks. Some clients, depending on individual body chemistry and frequency of exercise, have reapplication done every 2 or 3 weeks.

Cost: Reapplication appointments are billed at $150 per hour. These appointments usually take about 1 hour.

New Toupee Appointment: A new toupee will be needed every 2-3 months and costs $600. That cost includes the toupee, the 2 hour cut in appointment and any customizations needed or desired to ensure clients are looking and feeling their very best.

To become a client, you’ll need to travel to see us for the initial cut-in and either:

1. Return every time you need a new toupee

2. Return for your first toupee replacement (2-3 months later) where you’ll have the option to have 3 toupees cut during a single visit, and then return annually. A 20% discount will be offered on the toupees for this option to help with travel cost.

Anyone can reapply their own toupee! It is difficult, but many of our clients do it. You can also either find a stylist near you or have someone you know help you reapply it. We will walk you through the process and support from afar. You can of course come see us for monthly reapplication appointments if it makes sense for you.

Generally, toupees have to be replaced because the base wears down and the hair falls out with use.

We use incredibly naturally looking toupees which typically last about 2-3 months. In order to get such a natural look, these toupees have a very thin base and come with a little less hair. These are the toupees Em has found the most success in producing her signature natural hairline and cut.
